We aren’t talking about prices, literally, but it is imperative to remind you that there’s a price to pay for looking good.
Looking good is good business, especially when you are rocking awesome any of these different Ankara styles for men. I’m pretty sure men in your neighborhood have been making you feel intimidated each time they step out wearing new native wear styles!
For the next few minutes, you’ll be feasting your eyes on some really nice Ankara styles. But before we proceed, I’d like to share with you some tips I personally use to make sure I look good in Ankara.
Tips Men Should Know To Look Good In Ankara
For you to look good when you’re wearing Ankara, there are a few tips you should bear in mind. I listed a handful of them below and I hope you will find them helpful.
1. Wear Ironed Ankara Wears
Nothing looks smarter than a man who’s wearing a well-ironed suit, Agbada or Ankara. He just draws your attention immediately you sight him. I personally don’t put lines on my Ankara trousers, but if you do, make sure they are crisp enough to stand out.
2. Add Starch
If you love to add starch to your clothes, raise your hand. I occasionally add starch to my Ankara clothes. This, however, depends on the occasion I’m heading to and the weather outlook for the day.
Remember to properly iron after adding starch!
3. Cut your hair/beards or carve the lines.
Let the lines on your hair be pronounced. Not only does having smooth hairs make you look good, but it also ensures your clothing stands out. It adds a touch of finesse to your overall appearance.
Don’t forget to cut/shave your beards too…
4. Yout footwear matters
What you’re wearing on your leg matters a whole lot. Shoes, sandals, or flip flops are important. Make sure they still look new or at least polish them a bit. I use the Kiwi shoe polish for all my footwear.
5. Add a white handkerchief, sunshades or a hat
I often add a white handkerchief to complement my overall appearance – not as a pocket square o! Just have it in hand or in your pocket as you wish.
And if you like hats and sunshades, throw them in to spice things up! For the sunshades, stick with the ones that are meant for the size of your face.
